As a congregational study during Lent, adults are invited to read The Last Week: What the Gospels Really Teach About Jesus' Final Week in Jerusalem by renowned teachers John Dominic Crossan and the late Marcus Borg. Each chapter explores the events of one day from Palm Sunday to Easter, as described first by the Gospel of Mark and then the other Gospels. Readers are enabled to experience the fullness of the Gospel as if for the first time again and led in our longing to experience and share the love of God. Copies of the book will be available at church for $12 starting this Sunday. Then, beginning on the first Sunday of Lent, all are invited to meet after worship for a one hour conversation about the book, chapter by chapter and day by day.
March 10 - Chapter One: Palm Sunday
March 17 - Chapter Two: Monday
March 24 - Chapter Three: Tuesday

Participants are encouraged to return during Holy Week for the conclusion of the book. The last three chapter follow the violence of Friday, the silence of Saturday, and the glory of Easter Sunday. Those who are able are invited to spend one hour each day with this sacred story from 7:30-8:30, just like Pastor Jeff's Bible Study.
