ABOUT OUR CHURCH
As a diverse church community, we present the Christian faith as engaging and relevant.
We worship each Sunday at 10:00am. In worship we blend different musical styles, share in an inclusive liturgy and listen for God's Word through thought-provoking, socially-aware preaching. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of every month. You will find a warm welcome within our multi-cultural congregation both within worship and at the coffee hour which follows.
We welcome and celebrate the presence of children in worship. Our nurturing program for young children is currently in redevelopment. Additionally, we have programs for middle school and high school youth.

ALL ARE WELCOME

UPCOMING EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Spring is here and with it comes a new era for the White Plains Presbyterian Church!
Rev. Shannon White is our church’s new minister, and her first Sunday in the pulpit is on April 6th at 10 am. We welcome everyone to come and join in worship, and the celebration of our new pastor.
Reverend White was ordained in the Presbyterian Church USA in 1990. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary and her first position was at Hitchcock Presbyterian Church in Scarsdale….and at that time she lived right here in White Plains!
In addition to her time at Hitchcock, she has also served at North Greenwich Congregational Church, Round Hill Community Church, and Wilton Presbyterian Church in Connecticut. Most recently Shannon was the Interim Minister at Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church in Lagrangeville, NY. Her clergy and leadership positions have included pastor, head of staff, and associate pastor.
Shannon has led a varied and interesting life, having been a TV news reporter for nine years, during which time two of her pieces were nominated for Emmys. She is a published author of “The Invisible Conversations with your Aging Parents” and “How was School Today? Fine!” She produced interfaith programs while working for the CBS News Religion Unit and, as another of her interfaith pursuits, she and a rabbi shared the role of hosts on a radio program.
Shannon loves going to less travelled places of interest across the globe. She is married, has a daughter, and the family includes their dog, Gidget
